Stalking Hummingbirds

This is the first year in a long time that I noticed humming birds in my backyard....Lots of them...They come to feed off of my bottlebrush tree..For the last three days I have been stalking and photographing these tiny birds morning and afternoon when the light is pretty..I've come to know and love the sound of a flock of hummingbirds :-)

Fiber Arts

I love photography

I love beading

I love crocheting

I also enjoy working on mosaic projects when the weather is comfortable because I prefer to use my patio as my studio..

I am about to dive into another creative endeavor....Weaving...... This is a frame loom...This weaving, when finished will probably be a wall hanging or a mat..

With weaving one can work large or small.....Yarn, string, leather, wire, straw, just about anything that is bendable...

Learning how to weave using sticks is next on my list...

Stay tuned,  more pics to be posted soon :-))

New project underway..My doggies keep me company and supervise..Pictured here is Simon :-)

Weaving on a pin loom

This is the pin loom that I have..The 4x4 inch..These are the same principles work on all pin looms

My very first woven granny square.Took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to warp and weave to this finished square.....Thicker yarn needed for a tighter weave in this basic pattern :-)
